After the success of their first initiative, Reclaim NYC is back with ‘Reclaim x2: Design that’s more than the sum of its parts.‘ Writer Jennifer Krichels Gorsche, Designer Pages‘ Editor-in-chief Jean Lin, and designer Brad Ascalon, the founders of Reclaim NYC, just launched a call for designers to pair up and create works inspired by the idea of collaboration. Participants are encouraged to work with creatives outside of their own firms or disciplines to address the theme of coming together in times of need. Unlike the first event which focused on implementing Sandy debris in designs, Reclaim x2 is opening up material choices and the theme beyond reclaimed materials. Selected works will be exhibited and sold at Reclaim x2 during NYC Design Week, and all proceeds will go to aid continuing Hurricane Sandy relief. Design concepts, renderings and photography should be submitted to email@example.com. The deadline for submission is February 11, 2013 and the selected designers will be notified by February 15, 2013.
