Word on the street yesterday though was that two blue tarps were covering both His Frostiness and Frosty Jr. to protect the from the rain so they might not be around for too much longer.

Inhabitat editor and LES snowman neighbor Jill Fehrenbacher said: “I am so thrilled to see the big carrot-nosed guy back on the corner! We missed him last year due to an unseasonably warm winter with no snow (ahem climate change), but it was with happy tidings that we welcomed His Frostiness back to the corner of Essex and Canal, just in time for the Chinese New Year holiday.”

Although we’re glad to have a break from the frigid cold, we hope downtown NYC’s favorite man of snow will grace his corner in his full glory again soon.
