In other words, it's hard to stuff another shoebox full of stuff in your apartment when your apartment is the size of one. Because of this, we've always coveted double duty furniture like these beds that also conceal storage, but they typically aren't cheap...unless you take our lead and jerryrig one up yourself out of a repurposed Ikea bookcase and some inexpensive wooden panels.     im just curious how much weight it can hold up- Esp if a queen mattress is used and two people are sleeping on in

    Nice idea, but don’t forget to drill holes in the plywood or you will have condensation between the mattress and the plywood and mold will grow…

    This is a perfect and inexpensive way to store seasonal items, like sweaters that aren’t used in the crazy NYC summer months!
