DESCRIPTION
The Museum of the City of New York will be holding a screening of Gasland, a documentary by filmmaker Josh Fox that explores the environmental, social, and political complexities surrounding the controversial drilling practices of “fracking.” High volume hydraulic fracturing (HVHF) or “fracking” , has caused quiet a lot of controversy recently due to the potential impact the process might have on the environmental, drinking water, and New York in general.
Co-sponsored by City Limits and the Cooper Union Institute for Sustainable Design, make sure you don’t miss this highly informative screening of Gasland.
