If you ever watch Mardi Gras celebrations on television wishing you could be in the thick of the action, then here’s a way for you to get a taste for that dream. Join New Orleans-based artist Paul Deo at the Wave Hill Ecology Center, where he will teach participants how to make parasols, hats, funky bead necklaces and nature masks. And the interior of the building will be transformed to mimic the colors, sights and sounds of one of the world’s most vibrant street festivals. Contact Wave Hill for more information.
