The Pratt Institute Programs for Sustainable Planning and Development Spring Lecture Series in New York features local leaders and internationally known practitioners discussing current themes in planning, preservation and the environment. Topics range from social engagement in planning practices to New York City’s sustainability policies.

This week’s lecturer is Alan Belensz, Director of the Office of Climate Change with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. He will present an update on the progress of New York State’s Climate Action Plan. The plan identifies possible ways for state government and key economic sectors to keep greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere, help communities and businesses adapt as the climate changes and promote a thriving green economy.
