We know that you, as a good green citizen of New York City, properly recycle your old electronics, but wouldn’t it be nice if you could get a little something in return? After all, you spent good money on those gadgets. With eBay’s Instant Sale site, you can easily sell back your used gadgets so they can either be resold or recycled. To celebrate the site, eBay is hosting a week-long Instant Sale event at Ainsworth in Chelsea. Bring your old gadgets, try your hand at the interactive slot machine (everyone wins!), and walk away with an eBay gift card! The event takes place at the Ainsworth (122 W. 26th Street) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 to Friday, March 30.
From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day through this Friday, March 30, Instant Sale will take over the Ainsworth bar with its massive interactive slot machine. The game brings to life the Instant Sale site, creating a fun, green way for you to trade in your old tech toys. Not only will you walk away with a gift card good for $5 to $100, but there are happy hour specials for drinks and food, too.
If you can’t make it to the Ainsworth this week, you should still check out Instant Sale for unloading your old gadgets. Since its launch two years ago, Instant Sale has proved to be reliable, and MSN Money found that the site pays better than competing resources.
eBay launched Instant Sale two years ago to handle the growing demand for used electronics. The site, which is totally separate from the murkier auction side of eBay, offers cash via PayPal for used gadgets. Instant Sale also pays for shipping, and if you have any problems with the transaction, Instant Sale offers customer service, which is probably much nicer than trying to track down a user on the auction side of eBay.
