Calling all design junkies and architecture lovers! Archtober [1] is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever. This year the AIA NY [2] and The Center for Architecture [3] have teamed up with nearly 50 organizations [4] across Manhattan and Brooklyn to bring 31 days packed full of archi-centered events including tours [5], green design exhibits, workshops, films, special panels and much, much more. The festivities will officially kick off this coming Monday, October 1st, marked by tours of the Fulton Center [6] and PS 397 [7] and the opening of The Edgeless School: Design for Learning [8], the Center for Architecture’s fall exhibition. Check out the Architober [1] site for more info and a full calendar of events [9]. And because we really want you to get out there and explore NYC’s built environment, Inhabitat NYC readers will get free admission to all panels – simply register with the promo code: nypress12.
