If you’ve ever found yourself having to slink into the Meatpacking District’s Apple store to get online, Google has some great news for you. The internet giant announced today that it plans to bring free Wi-Fi to the neighborhood of Chelsea, where its NY headquarters is located.  When it’s up and running, the hotspot will be the city’s largest public outdoor network.

    Typical! Providing FREE WiFi to one of the wealthiest & most expensive neighbor hoods in NYC or the country for that matter. Mean while the East Village cant get a consistent TWC cable connection; and all the local wifi hotspots are pay to play.
