Big plans are currently in the works to turn Manhattan’s Pier 42 into a new public space, but in the mean time, the Hester Street Collaborative wants to turn the abandoned pier into a temporary pop-up park, and they need your help! On November 3rd, the collaborative will welcome the community to take a tour of the property and brainstorm ideas for the temporary space, so if you have thoughts, requests or innovative suggestions, don’t miss the event.

    Oscar and Tiki go on a tour of the future park site at Pier 42 with NY State Senator Daniel Squadron and LES residents and leaders, why don’t you come along? They want the new park to be handicapped accessible and dog friendly!

    A small correction: Community Day on the waterfront is November 3, not November 4.
