Gallery: Hooker & Co Celebrate Brooklyn’s Industrial Heritage with Awes...

Jesse Hooker is a Brooklyn fixture and his gorgeous reclaimed furniture honors the city's industrial heritage. Another celebrated artisan who is going to be showcasing his work at BKLYN Designs this weekend, Jesse combines all sorts of curious materials to produce one-of-a-kind pieces that are bound to be passed on for generations. From tables made with bug-eaten wood and a loveseat padded with an original '69 Mustang seat, every single creation is designed and handcrafted at his Bushwick Studio.

Hooker & Co is renowned for their classy reclaimed furniture. Salvaged yellow pine features prominently across the studio’s diverse range of tables, seating and interiors, and is usually accompanied by some kind of metal that gives the work an industrial aesthetic. Even so, Jesse and his posse pay such careful attention to detail that even the roughest pieces would fit in any home.

We’re in love with the Eleanor love seat and bench, both of which are topped with original ’69 Mustang seats that are in impeccable condition, as well as the Boerum bench that has safety deposit boxes for drawers. We’re all fired up for BKLYN Designs this weekend and hope you’ll join us for a closer look at these and other awesome green designs.
