How to Find the Hurricane Sandy Shelter Closest to You
Hurricane Sandy has already started to rage, and water levels have been rising around New York. If you’re stuck in an evacuation zone with nowhere to go (or no way to get there with the subways being closed), you may want to head to one of the city appointed shelters to take refuge. Bring a book, some snacks and a blanket to hunker down and get to know your neighbors! Read on to see the list of shelters for every borough, and it might even be a good idea to print it out just in case power goes out.
