Designed by a team led by developer Jonathan Rose Companies, this proposed a modern apartment building features three unit options of 303 square feet for small space city living. Each apartment comes with a bathroom, kitchen, convertible bed, and a balcony. The designs are elegant and straight-forward showing a level of thoughtfulness when it comes to the building’s cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Communal spaces can be found throughout the building, which also add to the building’s thoughtfulness.
Micro-apartments continue to grow in acceptance across the United States, and this competition shows the growth through a variety of designs. The team member LifeEdited had a recent micro-apartment commended for its design, while Jonathan Rose Companies is well known for their work in New York City for sustainable housing.
