DESCRIPTION

One of the longest running year-round markets in the program, the 97th Street Greenmarket has been serving the diverse population of the Upper West Side for more than 25 years. The Friday market is located on a wide cross town road which allows ample room for visitors to peruse the vendors from New Jersey, Orange County, NY, and the Hudson Valley. It’s open year round, with different events like recipe exchanges and cooking demonstrations adding variety to the event. This Greenmarket also accepts Electronic Benefit Transfers (EBT) and Food Stamps. For every five EBT dollars spent, customers receive a $2 Health Buck coupon to purchase additional produce.
