DESCRIPTION

Bar Veloce’s two Manhattan locations are a wine snob’s dream! There’s a decent selection of small plates and an extensive wine, liquor, grappa, beer, and dessert wine list. The bartenders are very knowledgeable, and are happy to make suggestions based on your taste preferences. They even have a few organic bottles, including a 100% organic spumanti called Franciacorta, which has been coined the “champagne” of Italy.

I can’t say I’m a big wine snob but my friend and I both enjoyed our selections here. Their beer and liquor options are minimal but that’s okay. Loved the vibe – great place for relaxing friendly conversation.

This location for Veloce is much more calm than Chelsea. I usually stop by for a drink before or after going to the movie theater on the same block.
