Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg is practically a warehouse of awesome gently-worn — and sometimes new! — clothing. They stock well-known and current designer clothing and accessories that have been sold or traded. They also have rare vintage finds — many at thrift store prices!

This location is much more friendly than the location in Park Slope and has a much larger selection. I would recommend making the trek to Williamsburg even if you live near the 5th avenue location, it is worth it.

For buying, this location is great. The men’s section is really small- sorry guys- but the women’s is 2 huge rooms. I pretty much only wear dresses, and they have an amazing selection, which is semi organized into color/style.

For selling your clothes though- terrible. They either never buy my stuff, or once they offered me $5 for a $150 belt that still had the tag on it. (that I got at a sample sale for much less, but still!! $5!)
