DESCRIPTION

After historically functioning as a tenant house, The Blue Moon Hotel has been magnificently restored into a fashionable and charming boutique hotel in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The walls of its hallways are lined with collages of historic newspaper clippings and bank receipts to evoke nostalgic feelings of the building’s past. Concurrently, the integration of art-nouveau light fixtures creates an interesting mix of new and old in its decor.

This family-run boutique hotel is really charming. The rooms are a bit tiny, but it fits very well into the flavor and character of the lower east side. My out-of-town parents always stay here when they come to visit me in the lower east side.
