DESCRIPTION

Brooklyn General is a general store for all things crafty. They’ve got a wide selection of craft supplies, fabric, yarns, tools and how-to books, including a lot of green options like organic fabric, ribbon and non-toxic paint. The co-owners Catherine Clark and Katie Metzger believe that making it yourself is better than buying it somewhere else, so they’ve curated a collection of all the things you need to do just that. Brooklyn General also has a wide array of how-to classes in case you need a little direction.

I’m not much of a crafter, but I came here with a friend who is an avid knitter because she needed some new yarn. The store’s selection was so amazing and the staff were so friendly that it made me want to start knitting and sewing myself! I’m planning on going back soon for a few of their classes.
