The Children’s Museum of Manhattan is more than a museum — it is a destination and resource where families of all backgrounds come to learn, play and grow together. The museum focuses on four specific areas: early childhood education, creativity in the arts and sciences, healthy lifestyles, and exploration of world cultures. The museum’s themed exhibits offer an interactive experience with something to please all ages. PlayWorks is an entire floor dedicated to preschoolers, while God, Myths, and Mortals lets visitors explore ancient Greece. In addition to the permanent exhibits, more than 80 workshops and performances are offered each week.

We like this Museum. The first and fourth floors I would recommend for the older children. The second and third are definitely for the younger crowd (infant, toddlers and preschoolers). On weekends and holidays it is always packed. You can cover the whole museum in a couple of hours. There are special art and discovery activities going on daily.
