The Crown Heights Farm Share brings fresh, local food to Brooklyn from Sang Lee Farms on Long Island. Produce includes your all the veggies you can find at the city’s Greenmarkets, plus an abundance of Chinese variations, like tatsoi and ong choy. The full share is best for large families, and the partial share provides more than enough for a household of two or three. If you live in Crown Heights and want to try new vegetables, sign up! They offer a winter share, plus fruit, cheese, meat, and coffee shares, too.

We joined the Crown Heights CSA last year and we were incredibly please. Since we’re only a 2-person household, we opted for the half share, which was more than enough for us (but we’re also not a veg-only house). We got a lot of vegetables that we were unfamiliar with, but it forced us to branch out and try new things. I never would have picked up garlic scapes or bok choy at the market, but now I know that I love them. We didn’t try the meat or cheese shares, but we probably will this year since you can decide that on a weekly basis.
