DESCRIPTION

Design Within Reach, also known as DWR, was founded in 1999. They developed their business with the belief that design should be accessible to everyone. The store offers modern and minimalist furnishings, lighting, and more from emerging designers, and well-known masters, alike. DWR has retail locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, with six studios in NYC. Their website notes that studio floor samples are frequently sold at reduced pricing.

DWR definitely has some really sleek furniture that is especially well designed for small city living but I’m not sure how “reachable” a lot of it is. I always feel like its pretty expensive!

Cool store with a good selection of modern, no-fuss pieces that work well in small dwellings. Not the most affordable option, but definitely not run of the mill either.
