Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey Inc. is a non-secular, non-profit organization that has been serving underprivileged people and communities for nearly a century. There are several retail locations in New York City offering an assorted mix of gently-used clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares, and more. Prices are very reasonable, and there is even a special outlet store in Long Island City that sells items by the pound. Goodwill accepts in-kind donations at each of their stores, and monetary donations online, all of which are tax-deductible.

Possibly the best Goodwill Store in the city. The two-floor store is organized and packed with quality pieces from a lot of name brands. I’ve found at least three pairs of jeans here, and they have a great “boutique” section with pieces by designers like Michael Kors and 7 for All Mankind.
