Hotel AKA has two high-end short and extended stay locations in New York City — one by Central Park and one in Times Square. Neither location is LEED certified, but as a company they belong to and support the US Green Building Council. They practice an array of green habits including the use of low-flow water fixtures and low-energy appliances, and cleaning with non-toxic cleaning products.

My aunt and uncle always stay here when my uncle is in the city on business, and I love to visit them here! It’s an extended stay hotel, so it makes sense for people who will be here for at least a couple weeks. They have really great service and beautiful rooms with awesome amenities: LCD TV, a study room, living/dining room with stove, dishwasher, and fridge, wireless internet access and washer/dryer combo! They also have a fantastic cocktail lounge that’s worth a visit even if you’re not staying at the hotel.
