Housing Works is an amazing resource and the perfect vehicle for being charitable and recycling new and used products at the same time. They sell and accept donations of new and gently-used fashion, accessory, jewelry, furniture, books, and other household items. You can visit one of their 10 retail locations throughout NYC or bid on their store window auctions online. Each store has its own unique stock, so you won’t find all of the same items at every location. Donations of clothing, books, and furniture are tax deductible. All profits go towards helping the homeless and people living with AIDS/HIV, in order to provide them with quality housing, health care, and legal protection from discrimination.

I still maintain that the Upper West Side and Chelsea locations are my favorite, but I have found some decent dresses at this location, $15/each. not too shabby
