Located close to the Atlantic Ocean in Coney Island, the New York Aquarium offers 14 acres of diverse marine life and more than 300 different species. You can be entertained by the sea lions in the aquatheater, marvel at glowing jellies in the jelly fish exhibit, touch sea stars and horseshoe crabs in an open tank, or watch the otters, penguins and walruses roam along the 300-foot long North Pacific coastline. At all of the exhibits, you’ll learn about conservation efforts and tips to help you green your life and help save animals around the world.

While not the biggest aquarium, it has a diverse selection and good shows too. Loved the sea lion show.

A little far from the center of the city, but has great shows, and worth the long train trip
