The lucky residents of DUMBO’s latest luxury development at 60 Water Street will be able to enjoy some stellar views from the project’s incredible roof deck, which might remind you of another enviable green space in NYC. If you recognize some of the deck’s landscaping elements, that’s because it was designed by James Corner Field Operations, the firm responsible for creating Manhattan’s famous elevated High Line park.

The renowned landscape architects added their unmistakable green touch to the luxury development’s rooftop, with many of the features mimicking the High Line‘s signature style. Similar to the West Side park, the condominium’s public area will be resplendent with “prairie-like” foliage and a natural grass meadow made up of Little Bluestem, Korean Feather Reed Grass, and Moor Grass. Additionally, the project will also feature broad, angled walkways, oversized wooden lounge chairs and even a reflective pool.

Isabel Castilla, a designer on the project, explained to DNA Info that, although “certain aesthetics carry through our work” on the company’s various projects, the 60 Water Street project is quite spectacular in its own right, “We do see this terrace as a very different design though that directly responds to the context and carves out unique spaces, positions strategically to enjoy the unique views of the river and Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.”
