I'm baffled at how we're STILL without a smart-card e-ticketing system such as London's Oyster card or Hong Kong's Octopus card (which are wasteless). Also, the whole swiping manoeuvre is soo tedious and inconvenient. I'd be less likely to miss my train if i could just press my card on a quick-scanning card reader. They also need to re-enable discount student cards. Just goes to show how backwards our transit system is compared to other alpha cities. The MTA is still total shit.
