NYC Restore: Mayor Bloomberg Launches New One-Stop Hurricane Sandy Recovery Locations in Hardest Hit Neighborhoods

Earlier today, Mayor Bloomberg announced NYC Restore [4], a new initiative to create one-stop locations that connect residents and businesses impacted by Hurricane Sandy with the services and supplies they need most. Seven NYC Restoration centers [4] in total will be opened in New York’s hardest hit neighborhoods, and the Far Rockaway, Gravesend, Coney Island and Staten Island locations were launched today. The Red Hook, Breezy Point and Throgs Neck-Pelham Bay centers are set to open later in the week. Read on to see where you can find the locations closest to you.

The four NYC Restoration Centers that are open now [4]can be found at the following addresses and will be open from 8 AM – 8 PM daily:
Coney Island
Our Lady of Solace

Brooklyn, 11224
Gravesend
SSA Building
10 Bouck Ct.
Brooklyn, 11223
Far Rockaway (opens on 11/13 at 2PM)
10-01 Beach 20th St.
(At Cornaga Ave.)

Staten Island

Staten Island, 10306
FEMA staff will be on site at each of the locations to process reimbursement claims and other services such as NYC Rapid Repairs [5] claims, food and nutrition assistance, temporary housing information, health and medical benefits, business restoration, counseling services and financial assistance will also be available.
