Due to the success of this week's pumpkin painting, The Fulton Youth of the Future will return to the High Line again next Sunday from noon to 4pm for one final chance to pick your pumpkin and prepare it for Halloween!

With paints provided, kids had the opportunity to decorate their pumpkin on site or take it home to carve later. There were a range of sizes to choose from with the smallest costing $1 and the biggest priced at $10. The session ran from noon to 4pm but after only three hours, the around 80 pumpkins had all been sold.

Fulton Youth of the Future is a non-profit community organization that helps teenagers gain career skills. The group also has a regular Youthmarket stall that is part of the city’s greater Greenmarket network. They work with area farms to promote healthy eating and sustainable food practices. You can find them every Thursday through October from 1-7pm on 9th Avenue between 16th and 17th Streets. This summer they also had the opportunity to take part in the High Line Food initiative which aims to connect New Yorkers to local, sustainable farms. The Fulton Youth operated a small table at the Lot once a week until its closure in late September.
