Just a week ago, the boroughs’ animal lovers and adorable pooches descended upon Brooklyn for the Park Slope Dog Dash—a scavenger hunt for humans and dogs benefitting dog rescue. Hosted by Foster Dogs NYC, the event showed how awesome New Yorkers can be when it comes to engaging with their community and raising money for a good cause. More than 45 participants, 12 volunteers, 10 local shops and tons of cuddly dogs (owned and adoptable) banded together to spread the word about dog fostering and rescue. Together they raised more than $2,300! Check out some photos from this exciting event ahead, and find out how you can help out!
Groups of family, friends and and their furry pals got together and explored the neighborhood, searching out clues at local shops and eateries while munching and drinking yummy goodies. Teams competed for some sweet pup-centric schwag, fighting it out in happy-go-lucky games ranging from a tea tasting challenge to a cupcake decorating contest. Participants were asked to raise money before the event, and the local Park Slope businesses that donated to the cause included: Park Slope Stoop, JackRabbit Sports, The Gate, Butter Lane Cupcakes, David’s Tea, The Painted Pot, Park Slope Copy Center, Culture Frozen Yogurt, Boprey Photography, Found My Animal, Shawn Fine Wines & Spirits, Rescue Chocolate, and Beygl.
