Using an array of sizes from an entire building wall to small city street signs, Insert ____ Here arrows can be found all over the city from Wall Street to The Bronx to Williamsburg and Jamaica, pointing out changes that could be made or sites that are already in the process of changing. One such sign already points to a New York council member’s “Greening the BQE” site, supporting and promoting the proposal for a park over the submerged stretch of roadway in Brooklyn.
Another arrow in Brooklyn suggests tulips in an empty lot while pointing to a sign that shows nearly 600 acres of vacant public land in Brooklyn alone. Green spots covering a map of the borough point out the hundreds of areas that would benefit from green solutions.
With hopes of becoming a global project, Insert ____ Here aims to not only promote environmental awareness but also to encourage communities to work together to raise their unique voice when it comes to taking care of and finding green solutions for their own neighborhood.
