Gallery: Reclaim NYC Furniture Made From Sandy Debris Still Available f...

Daniel Moyer recovered beautiful western red cedar from debris on Fire Island, and re-purposed it into a long-legged table with a painted black flood line.

There are still 9 Reclaim NYC pieces left for sale through Lin Morris. Among them is a candelabra by Bec Brittain made from salvaged steel, which was blackened on the bottom half after it was left in salt water. Also for sale is the last of five wooden stools, which were carved out of fallen trees from Hurricane Sandy by Brooklyn-based designers Fort Standard.

All the proceeds from these sales will go to Occupy Sandy, which continues to organize volunteer efforts to bring supplies and manpower to some of the most effected communities.
