Hand knitted hedgehog family up for auction here
Manhattan’s New Amsterdam School is offering up a slew of eco-goodies for their Annual Holiday Auction! Bidders can not only take home incredible gifts for their loved ones (or themselves), but also help to support the Waldorf-inspired school’s new First Grade class that will launch in 2014! From lush getaways to sustainable furniture and upcycled art, the Holiday Auction is a great way to score some seriously impressive presents, while giving back to children in Manhattan.
You can bid on a luxurious 3-night stay in this modern East Hampton home here
Many of the donated items for the fundraiser come from New Amsterdam’s community of over 100 families. Some of our favorites include artisanal pieces like a gorgeous handmade quilt made from fabric remnants, an original upcycled bottle cap tapestry by Emma Cotter and the colorful photograph “Fruit Bites” by Graeme Montgomery. You can also baby your baby with massages, organic clothing and sustainable toys, or get into the spirit of healthy eating with a kids cooking class at Freshmade. Gift certificates to healthy havens like Juice Press, Integral Yoga Natural Foods and Sustainable NYC are also available. Everything here will make a great holiday gifts for a friends and family, and best of all the proceeds from this auction will go to help the New Amsterdam School!
Supporters can get in the action online, but the fun stops at midnight on December 8th when bidding is closed, so don’t miss out!
