Sifteo Cubes, created by Jeevan Kalanithi and David Merrill, former students of the MIT Media Lab, are interactive handheld games that draw inspiration from chess and checkers. Each of the squares contains a computer chip that communicate with the other cubes in the set, sensing their motion and placement. In one Scrabble-like game, you rearrange the blocks until a word is spelled correctly, then the squares light up, highlighting your word.
