Gallery: Last Weekend for the Dumpster Pools at The Palms!

A collaboration between non-profit arts organization Chashama, Brooklyn arts organization 3rd Ward, Artists Wanted, TheDanger and Macro-Sea, The Palms is a throwback to the Boca Raton Resort Pools of the 1940s. Repurposed dumpsters are gathered around this lot, which is just a short walk from PS 1.

    Thank you for featuring the Palms parties that are hosted on our Queens lot. It really is such a fun event for locals to get involved with, and a great way to end the summer!

    How could one a person purchase a dumpster pool, to install perminently, at my home my home?

    It’s a very nice gesture but I cant imagine swimming in a pool as narrow as a dumpster. Ultimately the agenda is to make the East and Hudson rivers clean enough to swim in again.
