The eco-friendly apartment building has one, two and three-bedroom rentals varying in size from 664 to 1,177-sq-ft, and some even come with balconies. The 9-story building offers 105 units with rent for 1-bedroom units at $2,015 and rent for two-bedrooms at $2,515. Residents also have access to a fitness room, private parking, a landscaped courtyard with play area and a private recreation room for planned functions.
Acacia was the first residential building in Bedford-Stuyvesant to earn LEED Gold certification. It is also the neigbhorhood’s first building with an energy-efficient, on-site cogeneration plant that generates electricity from natural gas and is capable of providing back-up power during blackouts. Built with recycled and locally sourced materials, the building features energy-efficient lighting and appliances, low-E windows, water-efficient fixtures and programmable thermostats in each apartment. The apartments also enjoy ample daylighting, granite countertops, hardwood floors and a washer/dryer.
