Biking helps me survive heart surgery. And its so much easier than running!
I love biking because I don’t have to pay for stupid gas
i like to bike because i like to reward myself with gatorade after riding a certain distance!
Without rhyme or reason, I enjoy biking because it sure beats running. It’s so accessible in NYC, especially with all the bike paths that are afforded to us. Not only is it environmentally friendly and economically sound, you’ll never get stuck in traffic! You win any way you look at it.
I love biking, it’s so refreshing to feel the breeze on your skin and every ride feels like an adventure. I would like to contribute to the green initiative as well.
I love to bike because it stimulates the entire body and gives you a unique feeling of freedom. There is nothing like having no technology around, just the world and wind rushing past your face.
I love the premise of the show. What would we all do if we suddenly lost our technology? One bit of mechanical technology that would keep us mobile is a bicycle! I love to cycle. I began cycling as a kid, for play. Later, as an adult, I picked up a used bicycle and began cycling for transportation. As time went on, I used the bicycle to explore, find things off the beaten track. Then I used it to raise money– for diabetes, when my 5-year-old son was diagnosed, and for breast cancer when I was diagnosed. Now I use it for exercise– actually, I really use it for all of the above. What other device has such a variety of uses, does no damage to the environment, and is so much fun to boot?
I bike not only for our world but for my health. It’s also a great way to start your day before you get to work, a nice bike ride.
This is awesome! Love biking – it’s one of the best ways to know a city. My favorite path right now is the one up the West Side in NYC.
Whoops I also forgot to say why I like to bike. I like it because its so much more exciting than running!
Wow that sounds great, it’s like Jericho but with better writing.
I’ve never owned a car (age 62). My transportation is my bike, my feet, and public transport. Always has been and always will be. In addition, my backpack carries two solar LED lights that I use every time I’m biking after the sun goes down. Although it consists of off the shelf technology that I bought nearly 8 years ago now, I’m still one of the very few people on the streets who carries their own solar with them.
Whether my solar panels and batteries would work in case of electro-magnetic pulse is something I’d like to ask the people behind “Revolution.”
Whoops ~ forgot to add why I like to bike! I like having the cool fresh air against my skin while riding – especially in summer months! I like how it speeds up travel, for minimal exertion, and it’s a great way to see sites (like biking around Governor’s Island). And I like the satisfaction of gliding downhill after grinding uphill
, simple things!
I would love to win this! As a budding filmmaker, J.J. Abrams is one of my idols. And my girlfriend is in the midst of writing a novel with a similar premise (humanity essentially forced to live a simpler way of life). We’re both intrigued by Revolution and will be watching closely
.
Why do I like to bike? So many reasons…the freedom of it, it’s a great way to explore neighborhoods of New York, it’s great exercise, and produces NO carbon emissions!
