We are a sucker for anything using Kirei board, so we were delighted last weekend at BKLYN Designs to discover the material in new form – in Object Interior’s lovely Coup Dresser.
The Coup Storage System combines beautiful modern lines with environmental sustainability by using 100% recycled and renewable materials. The dresser is composed of Kirei board, recycled steel, and recycled paper, and comes in a variety of different colors and sizes. If orange is a little too much for you, you can also get the sides in white, black, grey, and blue. (Custom colors are also available). I want one!
It was through her experience working in sales that BOA, founder of Object Interiors, was inspired to create a line of practical, environmentally-conscious designs. She found that storage is always one of the most requested furniture items – however, most of the contemporary lines from big name companies are extremely expensive and are composed of toxic, non-sustainable, non-recyclable materials. BOA is out to change all that with her new company Object Interiors, whose tagline is Dwellings with Spirit.
Splitting her time between residences in New York, Los Angeles, and Bali, Indonesia, BOA draws most of her inspiration from nature and the objects encountered in everyday life.

Ellen,
yes. dresser is a misnomer since it features no drawers. it comes in 3 other sizes and configurations however, from credenza to armoire.
Very handsome piece of furniture! It os more an armoire then a dresser, yes?
Abstract, yet accessible and enivironmentally safe. Genius!
Great looking furniture, sorry I am so far away. Hope to see you next month.
