The villa overlooks a serene garden designed by landscape architect John Pettigrew, who planted the green site with a variety of rare cacti as well as trees and flowers.

Villa Tantangan enjoys a remote off-grid location and is thought to be the first fully sustainable villa of its size in Bali. Word of Mouth focused on minimizing the project’s energy consumption with solar panels and natural ventilation. The residences’ flat roofs are beautiful oases planted with shrubs that provide insulation while helping to integrate the villa into the lush surrounding environment.
