Oil Fence Made from Recycled Plastic Bottles

YankoDesign pointed us to a pretty smart (and timely) way to reuse plastic bottles to clean up oil spills. Designed by Min A Namgung, it’s basically a series of rubber caps that screw onto the tops and bottoms of PET bottles, forming an oil fence. The design makes a lot more sense than producing a bunch of new plastic parts, and it can even be used for other things like divvying up lanes in a pool.
