Although we've seen telephone booths transformed into everything from goldfish tanks to open-air libraries, we are really grooving on Teledisko, a repurposed telephone booth that lets you dance till you drop. Old booths located around Berlin have been transformed into coin-operated mini-discos complete with strobe lights, fog machines, disco balls and, of course, full libraries of get-your-funk-on music.
Not only do the coin-operated discos let users dance the night away as they listen to their tunes of choice, but once the music dies down, revelers are invited to take home a few photos or download a video of their disco dancing debauchery, if they really want to remember the night.
Teledisko is the brain child of a German telecommunications company, Deutsche Telekom. So far, the company has outfitted three old phone booths into mini-discos. Two are installed in Berlin clubs, while the third is a mobile version that brings the disco to you.
