The Frankfurt Motor Show hasn’t even begun, but this already appears to be the year of the electric city car concept, with multiple futuristic offerings from Audi and Volkswagen, and now Opel. The German GM brand will bring this One Euro Car electric city car concept to the show next week, to explore the company’s “pioneering role in alternative propulsion systems.” What do we know so far?

    I would like the cars to be truly affordable, (under $35,000) as well as exciting in the design department, instead of out of the reach of many and only appealing to a few. There are lots of choices coming down the pike, though some are a bit too anime or organic for the majority of buyers, I do like that they won’t all look like every other car on the market now or like those in its class.

    Just think how futuristic the modern would would become if all of these makers started production tomorrow of these city cars.
