So, it turns out that origami isn’t just for paper. Designer Yoraco González‘s “Origami 9010” furniture series is entirely influenced by traditional Japanese paper-folding techniques. These origami pieces, part of the Dachwood sustainable design series by SEREIN, was inspired by Berlin’s “altbau” architecture and history, using reclaimed vintage doors in lieu of paper. Each handcrafted piece is made with clear cuts and folds to re-create origami-like shapes. This is a limited edition series of 50 items, and each piece is truly one of a kind.
