Bloom may have a lot of money but most people don't have the cash to design and build a "green " house from the ground up. He encourages people to do little things like switching to energy efficient lightbulbs and cutting power to devices not in use-- things average people can realistically do that can make a significant difference if large numbers of people join in. The grand gesture of building a totally green home is probably less relevant than encouraging everyone to do what they can do. We need to teach our children to be earth conscious, and for those of us that have, can feel confident that we are making a difference as well as the Celebrities. But the act of giving a homeless man change does not by itself feed the person, but the collective smaller deeds of a greater population make a difference when counted together.
