OV-A’s Family House in Králuv Dvur Features a Folding Wood Shutter Facade

The Family Home is constructed on a square ground plan with rooms radiating off a central core. Three bedrooms, each with private amenities, face north and boast floor-to-ceiling glazed walls that promise plenty of daylight . The glass walls can be slid open and the larch shutters can be folded back to open the spaces to views of the garden and valley, or be re-positioned to create additional rooms. Increased privacy and a quiet and cozy space simply means closing the shutters.
The house is built with a timber frame consisting of I-beams, and the interior walls are packed with mineral wool and wainscoting for thermal insulation. The roof remains flat and covered with PVC foil and a layer of pebble rock.
A great modern gesture that plays up the importance of natural lighting and nature in one’s life, the Family Home is one sure to be filled quickly with treasured memories.
