“Minimum resource usage – maximum function” is the idea behind OYD Design’s FS Chair [4]. The DIY-inspired [5] chair is cut from a single birch plywood panel (108 x 95 cm) and can be easily assembled without the need for screws, metal parts or glue. The flat-pack design [6] allows it to easily be shipped to its new owner, minimizing transport costs and reducing the chair’s carbon footprint.
