
A variety of succulents were chosen for this project based on the climate characteristics of Alicante — in total, 37 different species were selected including Crassula, Sempervivum, Aeonium, kalanchoe and Echeveria. The density of the garden was designed to be 50 plants per square meter, and as the plants grow older and more mature they will completely take over the entire courtyard. If one succulent were to die, its place would be taken by one of the adjacent plants.
