A variety of succulents were chosen for this project based on the climate characteristics of Alicante — in total, 37 different species were selected including Crassula, Sempervivum, Aeonium, kalanchoe and Echeveria. The density of the garden was designed to be 50 plants per square meter, and as the plants grow older and more mature they will completely take over the entire courtyard. If one succulent were to die, its place would be taken by one of the adjacent plants.

“Urbanarbolismo utilized a variety of systems, products, sheets, and substrate to build the bed for the succulent garden”

While I could not make out any such information from the Urbanarbolismo page it would be wonderful if these systems/products/sheets would be detailed here so the benefits can be used at other places too.
