April showers? Bring them on! Pelcor just unveiled a stylish umbrella made from renewable cork. Predominantly found in Portugal, cork is impermeable, elastic and has a nice natural feel to it – which makes it the perfect material for shedding drops of water when the weather turns sour.
We’ve seen furniture, lamps, bags and even a shelter made from cork – but who would have thought about making cork umbrellas? Pelcor’s cork Quercus suber’s bark tissue, so there is no need to chop down the trees to harvest the compostable material.
