The Preamble Plaza & Canopy Courtyard is a Dynamic Green Hub for Queretaro, Mexico

Combining community programs and a youth hostel, the Preamble Plaza & Canopy Courtyard [5]by Jonathan Choe [5] creates a new public green space within the historic center of Queretaro, Mexico [6]. The new plaza contains all the amenities, while the private hostel floats above as a shade canopy for the plaza. What results is a a courtyard-like condition with ventilation, security, views, and a dynamic connection to the plaza below. Natural ventilation and green-wall shading eliminate the need for air-conditioning within the building.
