Peugeot Citroen Reveals Its Futuristic VELV Concept Car

PSA Peugeot Citroen [4] has just revealed its futuristic new VELV [5] electric concept car [6] at the ADEME innovation forum. This tiny car with a narrow rear track is envisioned as being created only for rental or corporate fleets. We can’t really understand why the consortium of French car companies led by Peugeot Citroen who developed the VELV concept would put so much work into its appearance only to consign it to rental fleets, but we’ll keep hoping for a mass-produced version of this little cutie.
The VELV concept is a full electric car with a 27-horsepower electric motor and an 8.5 kWh lithium ion battery. This allegedly gets the 1,433-pound VELV to 68 miles per hour and takes the car 62 miles on a single charge. What do you think of this aerodynamic little car?
